BC PNP Tech Stream
The BC Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) Tech stream allows eligible tech workers to get a provincial nomination — which adds 600 points to Express Entry — without a job offer. It's one of the fastest PR pathways in Canada for TEER 0–2 tech roles with a valid work permit.
Real income on CAD $85,000
Vancouver's after-rent purchasing power is slightly better than Toronto on comparable salaries, despite similar rents — due to lower provincial taxes at mid-range incomes.

Neighborhoods
Burnaby and New Westminster offer better value than downtown Vancouver while staying on the SkyTrain. Richmond is popular among Asian communities and has a strong job market. Surrey is the most affordable suburban option.
